Citizen reporting in the UK 2023 is the second edition in our annual series which explores the state of citizen reporting in the UK. The report aims to help local government and other public authorities who need to take reports from citizens about local issues to stay attuned to current trends and better understand changing expectations.
The 2023 edition of the report explores user data from FixMyStreet, the reporting service built by civic technology charity mySociety. Used by people across the UK to report local problems from potholes to fly-tipping and beyond, FixMyStreet data enables us to build and analyse a profile of the UK’s current, active, report-making citizens.
