2023 marked 20 years since the start of our parent charity mySociety’s mission to help people be active citizens by ushering in a new age of digital democracy.
We’ve achieved a lot in that time, including:
- Facilitating over 1 million public requests for information on WhatDoTheyKnow
- Publishing thousands of pieces of data that help people act on climate change
- Helping countries all over the world set up their own digital democratic services with our open source code
In 2023, we stand as a vital part of the UK’s democratic landscape, and an ally to civic tech organisations across the world. Thanks to all we’ve been through, we have unparalleled experience in building digital tools for the society we live in and confidence that we’ll continue to refine, iterate and develop services for the society that’s just round the corner.
