FixMyStreet for Parish & Town Councils is a low-cost, self-service offering from SocietyWorks, enabling parish and town councils to run their own reporting service via FixMyStreet and unifying councils at all levels.
When our parent charity mySociety built FixMyStreet in 2007, it was with the belief that reporting local street, highway and environment faults online to the correct people should be as easy as possible for members of the public – and for the authorities receiving the reports.
The complex structure of local government makes it difficult for members of the public to know who’s responsible for reports, leading to misreporting, duplication and manual intervention, all of which cost councils money and discourage continued community engagement.
Over the years we’ve developed a robust understanding of what is and isn’t needed by councils of all shapes and sizes when it comes to public-facing reporting software. Alongside the national FixMyStreet service we have our FixMyStreet Pro solution, trusted by local authorities and other public sector bodies throughout the UK.
Now, with FixMyStreet for Parish & Town Councils, we are able to truly unite all tiers of local government and other public service providers, with everyone using only what they need.
